International patients

Colorectal care in Tabriz, planned from wherever you are.

If you live outside Iran, you can send your reports and images before you travel, so the team knows your situation and what to expect. Sending records is a first step only; it does not replace an examination.

Before you travel

Please send what you have. Clear copies are fine to start with.

  • Colonoscopy report, with the images if you have them
  • Pathology (biopsy) report, if any tissue was taken
  • CT, MRI or ultrasound images with the written reports
  • Reports of earlier operations, hospital discharge notes and any treatment already given (such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy)
  • A list of the medicines you take now (especially blood thinners), your allergies and long-term conditions

Send these through our international support line on WhatsApp or by phone: +989302272111

How a remote review works

  1. 1

    Send your records

Share your reports, images and medicine list with the support team.

  2. 2

    Review of your records

Your documents are passed to the doctor for review.

  3. 3

    Next steps

You are told whether the records are enough or whether more tests or a visit in person are needed. A remote review cannot replace an examination. Plan, duration and cost are explained before you decide.

  4. 4

    Travel to Tabriz

If a visit in person is needed, the support team tells you what to bring and what to expect.

  5. 5

    Treatment and follow-up

Any treatment takes place in Tabriz. Follow-up after you return home is planned with you.

Online or phone consultation, costs, accommodation, interpreters and the languages the doctor speaks are being confirmed.

Heavy bleeding or severe abdominal pain must not wait for a remote review. In an emergency while you are in Iran, call 115, the emergency number inside Iran. It is different from the international support line above.

Practical questions

Do I always need an operation?

No. Many bowel and anal problems are first managed without surgery. A review of your records helps the doctor say what is likely to be needed, and a final decision is made after examination.

Can a remote review replace a visit?

No. It helps the doctor understand your situation and tell you whether a visit is needed. Diagnosis and treatment decisions need an examination.

I have heavy bleeding or severe abdominal pain. Should I send my records first?

No. Heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, fever with severe pain, or vomiting with no gas or stool must not wait for a remote review. Go to the nearest emergency department.

How long would I need to stay in Tabriz?

It depends on whether you need only a consultation or a procedure, and on your recovery. The doctor can give an estimate once your records have been reviewed.

What number do I call in an emergency?

115 is the emergency number inside Iran. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.

Every patient's treatment plan is different; ask your doctor about your own situation.
